Who needs bouquets when you can have puppies?  This bride and her wedding party ditched the flowers and opted for a whole lot of puppy love instead!  At her September 10th wedding in Elizabethtown, PA, Sarah Malloouk Crain decided that her bridal party would hold on to some rescued pups instead of the traditional flowers during their portrait session.  Sarah works for a dog rescue organization called Pitties Love Peace.

“My days are spent rescuing, training or rehabilitating dogs so it only seemed fitting that I needed to include some on our big day,” Crain said.

The bride’s pouch was a nine-week old pit bull named Biggie Smalls.  He was found on the streets in Brooklyn.  The bridesmaids and groomsmen all took turns cuddling five boxer-coonhound sisters named:  Martha, Abigail, Dolley, Elizabeth and Louisa (all named after the original First Ladies of the United States).

The newlyweds already have three dogs of their own, Mara, Leo and Atlas.  They also serve as foster parents to pups who are waiting for homes of their own.  “They are the best ‘kids’ we could ever have,” the bride said.

The pictures of this beautiful  bridal party with the adorable puppies are viral and it has generated huge attention for organizations like the one Sarah works for.  The five First Lady boxer-coonhounds are now in foster homes, we believe it will just be a matter of time before they all find forever homes.
