Whether you want to admit it or not, there will always be at least one embarrassing picture from when you were younger, one that you try not to ever bring into light. But recently, people have been accepting the fact that these pictures exist, and are going even further, and recreating them like this man, Brian Rush, and it is the best thing ever!

In the ‘80s, Rush took a photo from when he was just a kid at Disneyland with Minnie Mouse, and now, decades later, he has decided to recreate the photo.

When he learned his parents wanted to take the family on a trip to Disney World with their kids and grandkids, he got the bright idea. He said he chose one from the summer of 1985 or 1986, when he was around 5 or 6.

So he went into action. He had to find clothes that were very similar to the ones he wore in the picture, which luckily, he found at American Apparel. With his outfit on, there was no chance that Minnie COULND’T recognize him.

“Even on vacation, which is a break from the everyday, it is so easy to fall in line with what is expected of you. Go see this tourist attraction, go see that, ride this, wait in line here. Even at a place as ready-made magical as Disney World, bringing a little of your own creativity can elevate the experience,” said Rush.

He also said that he wasn’t embarrassed, and that it actually gives him motivation, and also said, “I’m also a bit of a sucker for embarrassment. Most people avoid it at all costs; I, on the other hand, get a thrill out of, for example, dressing like my 5-year-old self in short shorts.”

We think that this is the best thing ever, and we love seeing photos like this! So, if you have any photos you recreated years later that you would like to share, feel free! We would love to see them!
