In early 2014, Payton Leutner was stabbed 19 times by two classmates. She was only 12 years old at the time. But she’s making a remarkable recovery.

Today, Payton is 15 years old, and is excelling in high school, and is even taking on Advanced Placement courses.

“Today, Payton is a strong young woman who is excelling in school and doing many things that a teenager would do with her family and friends,” said Steve Lyons, the family spokesman.

On Payton’s birthday, the judge set a trial date for her case for October 2nd, and even ruled that a confession by suspect Morgan Geyser, will be admissible, and there will be no change of venue.

The family is pleased with the judges decision, saying what happened to Payton is tragic, and she will have to remember that horrible day for the rest of her life.

Payton Leutner now, age 15…

Back in 2014, Payton had been lured by friends Anissa Weier and Morgan into the woods, and attacked her as part of a murder plot. The girls left Payton there to die, but she was able to crawl to a bike path where she was found by someone passing by who called 911.

we are glad that Payton had lived and has physically made a full recovery. And we are also glad that the trial will be done and over soon, and hopefully, she won’t have to relive that day anymore.
